Transcriptional activator binding to the E-box 1 coresequence of the E-cadherin promoter gene; the core-binding sequence is5'CAGGTG-3'. Capable of reversing CTBP1-mediated transcriptionrepression. Auxiliary component of the splicing-dependent multiproteinexon junction complex (EJC) deposited at splice junction on mRNAs. TheEJC is a dynamic structure consisting of core proteins and severalperipheral nuclear and cytoplasmic associated factors that join thecomplex only transiently either during EJC assembly or duringsubsequent mRNA metabolism. Participates in the regulation ofalternative pre-mRNA splicing. Associates to spliced mRNA within 60 ntupstream of the 5'-splice sites. Component of the PSAP complex whichbinds RNA in a sequence-independent manner and is proposed to berecruited to the EJC prior to or during the splicing process and toregulate specific excision of introns in specific transcriptionsubsets. Involved in the establishment and maintenance of epitheliacell-cell adhesion. Potential tumor suppressor for renal cellcarcinoma. [1-5]

ResultsIt is reported that knockout of PNN increases SARS-CoV-2 RNA levels compared with control group.
